Woman Killed as Semi Rear Ends Her (stopped) Car

Okay now what the driver is going to jail i guess, smh vehicle homicide,neglect or manslaughter driving a truck, that's the worst part of the job.

 

And providing there were no circumstances that forced him onto the shoulder he should be in jail. Wondering onto the shoulder is inexcusable yet I see "professionals" treat it like extra space.

 

why so many cars and trucks hit from behind or on shoulder and const.zones today......

 

Frickin Geo Metro, it's not a car, it's a cigarette box. Agreed on driver being punished to the max, no excuse for this one.

 

I just would like to hear the reason why he drove on the shoulder before he got his sentence.

 

I don't think any one of us has never drifted a little bit onto the shoulder. But if you're doing it all the time then the law of averages just might get ya.

A while back I read where a truck driver in OH' felt something hit the front of his truck. he pulled over on shoulder to get out & check. a car getting on the entrance ramp slammed into the back of his trailer, killing the driver. the driver was charged with involuntary manslaughter. no mention of why the car driver was going so fast, or anything else, just that because the law was that there was no truck parking on shoulder, truck driver was at fault.

 

Here's an example of why trucks should not be relagated to the right lane. What's the last vehicle you want running off the road into a stationary object (emergency vehicle, etc.)?
