Made it home finally for a day.5 off then another lap thru PA starting Sunday. This morning didn't go quite as planned, but worked out ok. I pulled into the Augusta, GA welcome center for a power nap at 0330 that turned out to be more powerful than expected. As-in, momentary panic when I woke up the second time to daylight. Still good tho. ETA on the GPS still showed 20 minutes to spare, so rolled out with no delay.

On top of an on-time delivery, I also got ahead of some other stuff on the way home. A truck trade is coming together nicely, long story I might post in the no experience thread. Cliffs Notes version is our first truck developed engine block cancer. And due to it being a unicorn (early '04 DDEC-IV S-60) it's not worth fixing. Again. Not to worry though, it's replacement just came on the market. 2000 Century, 500hp 12.7 30k since in-frame, 13-sp, 3.55 rears. It's the truck I should have bought nearly 4 yrs ago. Positively an upgrade from the '04 and will be cheaper than repairing the old truck.

Bonus round, the shipper for my "live load" tomorrow pm let me drop a day early. So that's all settled till I go back at 0-dark-30 sunday and point it at PA. I should go buy a lottery ticket before my luck runs out.

Oh yeah, saw this incident right before the rest area exit.

Picked up our weekly load to La Mirada, CA and currently on I-44 headed to our fuel stop in Joplin, MO. Last week was a cluster so hopefully this week will go smoothly. Lol
