Depends on the condition. But sometimes the older ones are the better ones.
-
I don't see why not, as long as it's roadworthy.
-
thats my thought i havent got a chance to look it all but on the outside it looks great i dont know what engine it has or any specs
-
How far are you from where this truck is?
Reason I ask is that it may not be worth the trip to go any great distance to look at a truck of that age without even having any specs on it. -
Once she starts running the road you'll have some small things to fix like seals that have dry rotted and stuff but as long as motor is sound you'll be good to go.
-
At that age it's likely since had an overhaul, so that could be a plus.
-
its not to far its in the southern Wisconsin its maybe an hour south it looks vary roadworthy it was used by a small trucking company i just havent done my homework on these trucks i dident know if the cost to run one would be worth it
-
If you broke down in say, Durango, CO, would you be able to find replacement parts in a reasonable timeframe (at a reasonable cost)?
That's my otr age/obscurity test... -
ya thats another thing double yellow hit on parts im sure that most dealers dont have parts anymore so thats another add on cost just trying to find what you need
