You wouldnt happen to know the paint code for this green would you?
My door tag is too faded to read. Not sure where else to look. If I had the paint code I could shoot it myself after turkey day.

My paint on hood and wind visor is all messed up clear coat gone and paint disappearing got oxidation on the fenders which seem to buff out alittle at a time so keep buffing them I get them right think I am going to paint center of hood visor and side skirts a silver with blue tint but thats down the road a bit -

I guess when I get serious about doing it I'll find out. I really hate this color. Just about anything else short of pink would have been a better. I may just spray the hood satin black for now until I decide on a final color for the truck. Or may just leave it like it is.
Its taken me almost a year just to get around to replacing the battery box cover. I've been dumping money into maintenance and repairs. Now that I have a driver that will be going into the truck, I need to get all the little bs things done that I've been putting off. Even got a new driver seat ordered. Hopefully he appreciates the little niceties lol.
Hursttsavory Thanks this. -
Congratulations.... I think.
You buying another truck? -
The plan is to get the final things with the truck sorted out after new years. Hopefully be xone by mid Jan. Then fly him down to Tampa. Get his pee pee done. Finalize his paperwork and then run team till March or so and hopefully cut him loose. He's a young guy at 26. Has a wife and 15 month old with another in the oven. So I'm hoping he stays focused and does a good job.
I've got 2 trucks I'm looking at. Well only one I have actually seen. Then main one is the one I should really get. And if I have any sense I should never go look at the other truck. The main one belongs to my carrier. Its a 2012 Coronado glider with pre emissions 12.7 Detroit. Its already pulling an identical 53' step like I have now, headache rack and ready to go. Its at just over 500k mi. Carrier wants $70k for tbe truck. The fuel savings alone makes it worth while.
The other truck is a 2003 Pete 379 exhd. 13 spd with a single turbo cat @500 hp. Truck has 890k with just over 120k on a complete rebuild by CAT. Says he has all the paper work and warranty papers to go with it. I've wanted a 379 long nose for a long while he's pretty much giving the truck away. Says he wants $30k but would take $26k cash. I know red flags are going up over the price. I asked the obvious also... whats wrong with it?
Catch is that the truck has been sitting for the last 4 yrs. The guy just turned 70. His wife got sick and then died 2 yrs ago. He says he doesnt want to drive any more. My wife works with his daughter and through conversations it came uo that he father had a truck he might want to sell. My wife says ths truck looks beautiful. I havent seen it. She didnt know what questions to ask. So all I got was that its a 13 spd, has a CAT, He pulled a van, it has a rebuilt motor with warranty.
Having been baking in the Fla sun for the last 4 yrs I'm sure that truck has more then a few cobwebs hiding in its closets. Sunbaked tires are probably the least of its problems. But for $26k I can pay for it out right. I doubt the mpg will be any worse then the Columbia I'm in now... and most of all.. its like my dream truck. So I keep telling my wife not to let me see it. Lets be sensible about this.
So not sure which way I go. Besides fluids and tires.. I honestly dont know what else to check for. What should I focus on with a truck thats been parked for 4 yrs?

I know I am starting to get worried I have not fired up the Volvo in a year. Keep planing on taking some batteries to it and let it run for a while then move it around just keep getting side tracked with all the little stuff on my KW.
