    Hello,

Wife and I start school in 11 days with Prime Inc. Was wondering if anyone has had any issues with your bank debit card or credit cards having a fraud alert placed since we travel all over the US. Not sure I want to be calling my bank all the time telling them where I'm going etc.

Call them tomorrow and alert them of your new profession. They'll add a note to your account stating that you travel for work and not to be warned of transactions made in multiple locations.

Yup!! I have the same problem and banks have no way of entering your new profession. Been there, done it. They will tell you to use the card as a debit card. Your card is always accepted when you enter your PIN number. But!! Not everyone has the ability to accept debit cards like Pilot and Flying J. They can only do credit.

With my credit union, if they suspect fraud or unauthorized use, they will call me within a minute to verify was the transaction valid or not. Also with these new check cards they don t hold you liable for unauthorized transactions

A few years ago, my bank would only allow 3 purchases at the same location before they would lock the account. If one was stuck in the same location over the weekend, it was a real pain. They have since changed their policy. Perhaps it has more to do with how I use the card. I had to call my bank on more than one occasion to have them to unlock my account. Although it can be a little inconvenient, it does help protect the account. I try to check my account daily, especially when I m on the road. You can't be too careful.

I use a debit card through Wells Fargo. Never had a problem anywhere or with the Bank. I very rarely carry cash. Plus I use their mobile app to check my account every day on my phone. Transactions are posted within seconds.

Thanks for all the info. I spoke with my bank Tuesday and they were supposed to have someone from the fraud department call me, but nothing yet. I'm going to give them a call again tomorrow.
