Garmin here. I've been thinking of trying co-pilot tho. Isn't it like $180 for the truck version? Maybe it's come down recently?
I'm not even going to argue with anyone that doesn't see the benefit of a gps. Waste of my time.

    it's normally $150. it's on sale for $100.

get it while you can, before the price goes back up. it's a one time purchase. you'll never have to buy it again. and can be run on multiple androids.

i wish computers had the same luxory.

This is the only way to go. Stand alone GPS devices need vast improvements to even come close to Copilot on tablet or laptop. (tablets have the built in Gps chip). I've run Garmin, various Rand models and Copilot side by side by side for much of this year and I stand by my conviction. I see it all the time. Jus sayin.

Have you used S&T? How does Co-pilot compare?

I have 8 yrs worth of PU and DEL addresses, oversize load routes, low clearances, scale houses etc saved in S&T. If I am going to switch it better be good.

Ha! Well, yes it's good, but it ain't all that! I'm sure your 8yrs of data is worth staying with Streets and Trips. No, I haven't tried S&T, but some of our forum friendlies are very satisfied with it. One of Copilot weaknesses is that many local addresses aren't in its data, providing you with only the nearest address. FYI

Do you need a data connection while using copilot? Or is it all downloaded to your device? Do you have a holder or stand for the device?

No data needed. Download 4G 's of maps onto device, then turn off data, unless to refer to a sat view or for other reasons. I actually use the $10 car version, but I don't rely heavily enough to justify the truck version, though someone said Copilot Trucks is now on sale for a hundred bucks, so I may go for it. My company routes me for specific fuel stops.
Beautiful thing about Copilot is drop and drag routing, it's quick recovery when missing turns. I've not been disappointed at all.
    Hope this helps.

Search 'Prostar drivers show me your tablet mount' and see my RAM mount purchased from Dieselboss.

The new rand (7,5)30 has a faster processor, guI, and a bunch of other new features.... The processor is one that was really bugging me, good to see them improve. Anyone tried them?
