Ok...this site is better then the old magic 8ball ( remember that ) ok here we go 8ballers....what about Hornady Transportation, flatbed out of Alabama, with one other terminal in Effingham , Il. ? All I know ( or think I know ) is they are small company, pay fair for being so small, good hometime on system 1 , and have Freightliners. So I am asking all you wiseones...tell me more. Thank You.

Not a lot of info out there. Thanks for the other thread advice. The flyer I got from them says they have Internationals and Freightliners. They have me scheduled for June 2 for system 1. What I like about them and attracted to them was , they have a terminal in Effingham, il. which is about 40 miles from home. I have never worked flatbed so I have to go through 5 day orientation, then 2 weeks of yard training. They pay $80 a day including Sat. & Sun. and only buy lunch. I am suppose to get more info sent to me and when I do I will post it on here, so we can start a couple of threads on them so others will be aware of them. It was the 2nd job offer I got today. I am suppose to start next week for another small company even smaller, hauling scrap metal Out of Terre Haute, in. to Indy, Danville, Il. and several other places. Would be home every night and no weekends. As I said in another thread...Im done with big companies so now I got a decission to make between these 2. But hey...thats a whole nother thread ..uh

When I was there. They said they are getting rid of the freightliners because they are straight 10's. The reason was, because nobody knew how to drive them. The Internationals are super 10's.

I have never drove an International. Driven Petes, KWs, & Freightliners so maybe I will get a new expierence.

I thought that was a little strange myself, but I just let it go.
I am leaning towards these guys. Got a week to decide.
I need slapped or maybe a little time out. I just responded this time to get this post back up to top..im ashamed of myself.
Well this could be good.....hearing no complaints. Unlike most companies, you post something and hear all kinds of neg., I ve heard nothing. That might be good or it might be bad.Last edited by a moderator: May 17, 2009

I live in MS and run all over the southeast so I see them alot. They tarp more than Maverick! (sorry notarps4me) I mean 6' and 8' tarps 70 to 80 percent of the time! They may be a good company, I'm just stating what I see. It ain't for me, but it might be for you.
