Best bet is to just shop around. Local kenworth and peterbult here sell them. Or shop on the net

I've been running the jw's for about 9 months now and they could very well be the best upgrade for the truck yet.... Worth it

I was just wondering if the JWs produce enough heat to melt snow and ice. I read awhile back that they had a little internal fan to blow heat out to the lenses but didn't know if it all works or not.

Anyone using the Truck-Lite LED headlights? Everything I've read about them is positive. The 7" round style are about $165 apiece.

Last time I looked at them they only offered a traditional glass lense.

They have a poly carbonate lens. It might be an option to get glass or carbonate. I do know that there driving lights have that option.
Most places just stock the carbonate because it's more durable.Oscar the KW Thanks this. -
Thanks, good to know. When someone here first brought them up a year or two ago they only had the glass lens, I have waited for them to start making them with the poly lens before I would buy them. I'll have to get some ordered now, these traditional sealed beam lights just don't seem to be adequate anymore. On my last truck I used the United Pacific with the clear lens, tried a couple of different bulbs in them, they are an upgrade to the sealed beams, but still not the light output that I am wanting.

I hear ya there!! I did that upgrade with the clear United pacifics also. Like you said. It was better but still not great.
Youll be blown away by the diffrence with these. Go for the new jw 8800 evolution series. Supposed to be even better.!!
I find now driving at night Is so much more enjoyable now. Takes a lot of strain away.snowman_w900 Thanks this. -
With the JW's you don't need to modify the bucket either IIRC. That was the biggest down side to the United Pacific's, you had to cut a hole in the back of the bucket for the light to fit properly on a KW.
snowman_w900 Thanks this.
