I stopped at the same rest area on both Saturday and Sunday of this week. I noticed a refrigerated truck carrying chicken and a big moving truck parked in the same place on both days. What is the reason for remaining stationary for > 24 hours? Just curious more than anything.

The federal government regulates our hours. He may have been doing a 34-hour restart. He also may have abandoned his truck, having someone come and pick him up.

Could have been stuck without a load. Stopped at the hook in Russelville a few weeks back and trashed around with a few Hurricane drivers on the back row. I counted 6 of their trucks there waiting on loads.

May have just parked em to go home for a bit if they lived close. Lots of reasons come to mind.

could be close to home and that is where they leave their truck. Or they could have really been hitting the buffet hard.:biggrin_2551::biggrin_25516:

I'm not so sure I'd stop for the buffet in a rest area... :D

I am assuming that's what he meant by rest stop, anyway, since the truck stops are known as... truck stops.

    Thanks for the replies.

It was one of those combination truck/auto rest stops on a toll road. They did have a buffet.

Darn - you weren't supposed to notice.

In actuality, those were cleverly disguised starships from what you call Rigel 3. After much careful research, we determined that disguising our ships as trucks would cause them to go unnoticed.

Your observation has seriously threatened our invasion plans.

Please pack a small bag with what items you deem necessary to sustain you on a journey to a small secluded system and back. Figure in a short stay. You should be back within 200 years.

The next knock on your door will be our agents come to escort you to your new temporary dwelling.

No, you will not be paid miles for this.
