I have a mbl c12 in a 9200 with a PDI program. The fan hub was rebuilt 8 months ago and doesn't leak. You can hear the air release and observe the fan locking when you turn off the key. Replaced the coolant sensor and the air valve actuator for the fan.

do you believe the ac high pressure switch is the problem? With a computer hooked up to the truck the fuel temp sensor seemed to be the only one not reading correctly, the truck was at 180* and fuel was at like 60*. The computer also says that the fan is on but won't say why. Thoughts?

Could be high pressure switch. Could also be that jumper harness that hooks to high pressure switch is bad. That happened on mine before. Neither are too expensive.

If I replace the high pressure switch will I loose my a/c charge? I could just change them both as I did jump the wire on the harness and nothing happened. The ac does seem to cycle on and off though, but I might just be hearing the evap cyl.

    Okay thanks.

My fan switch on the dash doesn't do anything. Is there anything I can do to make this operational? It's a 9200 with a 70pin c12

You know... Your switch could be the problem. Swap it, see what it does. Also, look for a Coolant Level Module, it is usually wired between coolant level sensor and Fan Solenoid. Do some digging, it is a box about the size of a deck of cards, it will say "Coolant Level Module" on it. Please update us to know what fixed your problem. This ghost fan issues are very common and nobody has posted much final solutions yet. Mine was acting up in similar ways, I found that box by shear luck, did some research on it and I realized it also has the capability to turn the fan on due to low coolant levels... I changed it, and boom! Best 56 buck I ever spent!
