Biggest pet peeve???

Real truckers do not wash their hands or brush their tooth!!

 

How much time do you have??
I have 30+ years in this industry and could wear you out with peeves. If pressed to name ONE, it's other "truck drivers". I actually hate to stop for fuel as I know it's gonna' be an ###whip. The discourtesy at the islands is terrible. When there's 3 trucks in the line waiting for fuel, you don't go in and make your coffee order breakfast at whatever, then make everything "cozy" and THEN leave. You get your fuel, go park, THEN do your business!

 

some of us have delicate teeth and hate cold water. or brushing in the winter time.

my pet peeves would take a book thicker then the holy bible.

You have seen the same pigs I have.

 

Drivers that do 70 in 45MPH active construction zones and then wonder why they want to regulate this industry more.

 

My pet peeve? Ignorance. It isn't limited to JUST trucking, either. The ignorance of some people just gets on my nerves. The way some folks are content to go through life lacking education, information, and quite frankly in some cases turning a blind eye to reality in order to remain blissfully ignorant is beyond me. Knowledge is power!

 

Who needs knowledge when you have tv? I am more worried about what is going to be on tv tonight. I would rather wonder what is going to happen on Mike & Molly tonight. I hold the steering wheel all day listening to music, why would I want to listen to an audio book and expand my knowledge? Where is the fun in that? Just sayin....people don't care about anything but going to work and coming home.

 

Bobtails parked in full sized spots, when there is a TON of bobtail spaces open.

 

would have to be a tie between these two

1: 4 wheelers in a construction zone STAYING in the lane that's closing and merging.. passing everybody till the very last second then forcing their way in when the lane ends.. causing the whole effing highway backed up because they won't merge when the signs told them to

2: ###### ###### that go 58-60 when you're governed at 62-65. you stay behind them for 10-20 min.. then you get fed up and try to pass them and OF COURSE they speed up just enough so you can't pass them so you get behind them again and they slow down again obviously.
Then repeat that sequence for the next 200 miles.... been there done that. Yeah okay I think that takes the cake
