I'm glad I didnt go to work for them after how they treated me. lol.. But what can you expect. They funnest thing was the letter they sent me. I quit after evo I, and they sent me a letter I was terminated, and they was going to clean out my truck ! What Truck ??? and send the goods to me COD.?? I guess thats is where there problems is: They dont seem to actually know whats going on. Duh !
But I have a few friends whom I went to school with at Marshfield who has had no problems with them Yet !!!! Go Figure.? Strange things happen for strange reasons. But Hey, Im not mad. But here is a heads up for Roehl.. Get your act together if at all possible. Maybe thats why 75 percent of the people quit before there first year.. Wont put up with the lack of intellegence from management.
The School was great and a fair price, and the school trainers were also great, it was the training and people involved after school is where there problems exist.( my opinion only ) DSR's and Fleet Managers.
But if you want a good school at a fair price, this is the one. But good luck afterwards.

Are their any 7/4 & 7/3 drivers out of Carnesville that could give me a little info as to the operation (Pros and Cons)? Est mileage, or any info you can share. Thanks

Hello Truckers, This Thread has been invaluable for learning alot about an industry I know basically nothing about. Can anyone give me any feedback on the companies listed? I live in Cincinnati and would like to travel through Cincinnati and Nashville as much as possible. Thanks and stay safe out there!

im on the se reg fleet. i switched to gp dedicated, little better. i came from a job with usx where i made between $51-$57,000 yr and at home 2-3 nights a week. i knew i would make less but didnt think it would be like this. i would have kept unloading trailers on that dollar tree account with usx if i knew the miles are not what they were when i started driving

Tks for the encourging words, but its all over for me with Roehl.. We didnt see eye to eye, and they terminated me.. lol.. I had already quit..
But I didnt find out one important thing. Roehl training school, is not an accredited school according to alot of Truck companys.. Or maybe thats just alot of BS to get more money from me for training.??? Well see. I had not problems at school or out 11 days on evo I..I was doing most of the trip planning, and had mastered the qual comm already. it was the last day that broke the camels back.. Im not a young man, Im 58 years old and know that you dont treat people like that..So its there loss not mine, I still have a Class A cdl and can move forward wtih no regrets. Just need to figure out which companys NOT to work for, which only takes a little research and I have alot of them already on the list. lol..
But other then the last day...I have no other regrets with Roehl. To bad they cant train there DSR's and Fleet Managers as well as they train there Students/Drivers. -
I got a call today from Roehl. The recruiter Rob wanted to know why I had left. For me it was mostly not enjoying being away from home, which is what I told him. But it is interesting that they are starting to wonder why everyone is leaving. My trainer was there 6 years and his DSR treated him with no respect. That kind of helped me make the decision to leave also.

Funny, I worked for ROEHL for 3-months last year. Left them in September 07. Last week they called - May 2008 - under the guise that it was a separation review, a couple minutes into the call it became apparent it was a recruiting call.
Really, I had no problems with Roehl except for slip seating on the 7/3-4 program. I hated moving my stuff in and out - just a royal pain. They ran me good and was always over 3K miles for the week. I'd consider them again, but no interest in running NE Regional. 5-days in the truck is all I want, but I don't want to spend it in an area with no truck parking and a population that hates truck drivers.

Anyone tells you that Roehl is'nt an approved or an accredited school is lying to you and wants to get more from you in training fees or there way of not reimbursing you the cost. The CDL in your wallet proves Roehl's school was sufficient to meet the requirements of the state of Wisconsin. A call or letter to the Wisconsin DOT will inform you if the school you attended was accredited or not. A letter would be better, that way you will have the answer in writing to show to any other company that you are considering to drive for so you can be reimbursed the tuition cost.

Don't know where you got the idea that everyones leaving Roehl, I see the same guys all the time either on the road or at a customer. I've been with Roehl over 8 years and I'm not contimplating terminating my employment. They've treated me with respect and dealt with me fairly since the first day. Anyone that is not treated with respect should immediately report it to his DSR or division supervisor if the case happens to involve his DSR as you wrote in your quote above, I would talk to the division supervisor and demand to be assigned a different DSR. I quarantee you I would be assigned a different DSR that very same day. This is'nt my case however, I have a DSR that can't be beat, he's # 1 in my book.
