Got a ticket in Ontario this morning for no speed limiter! Bummer.

is there a handheld unit or program I can get to set it myself and take it off before entering that part of Canada? I own the truck, 09 Prostar, Cummins

i do do not want to buy a yearly subscription

I would just stop running in Ontario. If enough owners stopped running in those areas, they would be forced to change their laws. In fact, I thought the law had already been repealed.

That might be kinda tough seeing as you can put the equivalent of 2 states of Texas in the Province of Ontario and it and Quebec separates Atlantic Canada from the rest of anywhere, unless of course you can cross into Maine. Just not a viable option. When I had my Cummins I looked into getting a handheld, the cost was right around 900 bucks and it was a one time charge, no monthly renewal or nothing and there was a list of parameters that you could set yourself included. A buddy and I even got the brainwave to split the cost and share it in case we got sent up there.

Don't suppose you remember the name of the handheld?
I also see the bully dog watchdog will adjust speed limiter value for about $900 as well, not sure of installation cost

Nah it was right from Cummins, right there in Mississauga. All compact in a case looked just like a drill kit. Where'd ya get pinched? My buddy got his at Milton, 3 or 4 hundred bucks I think.
