If you get a chassis with no lights and a box on (by no lights I mean literally NO LIGHTS) then swipe em from the cassis next to you or u will wait forever for a flip or service.

If you're doing intermodal as an O/O, can you bring your own chassis?

There getting stricter about that. Now there rivioting them on and a lot of the pigtails come off and a easy fix isn't possible.

A shipping container chassis or a 53 ft rail chassis? Never heard of an owner operator buying a rail chassis but I know you can buy chassis for shipping containers.

I don't know if this was posted but,
slide your 5th wheel back. Youll be bending up mudflaps and frame rails if you don't.

Very true, I had to replace a mudflap bar. They (Swift) told me to go to Greer SC from Charlotte. I asked if I could pick up part(they paid)t and do it myself and that was ok. Time saved and lesson learned. I just started the intermodel and love being home every night.
