Im going to be having injectors replaced soon in my C15. I got qoutes from King of the Hill and Milton Cat in Clifton Park NY. Both were very close as far as price. When I was speaking with both I said to them lets get this out in the open, I have a tune in the ECM and dont want it touched at all and that the injectors were already set at stock codes and the truck runs and pulls exc. Surprisingly Milton told me they would have no need to do so and wouldnt touch anything in there. KTH hinted to me that he would like to adjust a few things need be which makes me a bit nervous.

I personally don't like to build an engine that I did not get to tune. Even if the truck runs great its hard to stand behind a 3rd parties work. But I do understand when someone wants to keep the same tune and just do a rebuild. Those are the job I pass on.

I think Milton is more reasonable with prices as of recently, and flexable with what they'll do.I don't think they are getting the highway work they once did. I know I priced a platinum kit on a bxs not too long ago and they were within 2k of an "independent" shop

Phase 2 diesel in Newburgh is real good. He's a certified cummins shop but works on all makes. He did a lot of work on the Cats for my last company. Ive also heard h.o. penn in Bloomingburg was a good Cat dealer. Poughkeepsie is H.O. Penns main shop but everyone recommends Bloomingburg for truck engine work
