I get a kick out of his show sometimes, not a huge fan but some real wacky calls sometimes. . I heard him say to take cheap freight if it's fast on and off.

I hate-watch him because nothing else is on at Midnight, occasionally he says something interesting, but most of the time its wacky calls and I listen to it like I listen to Coast to Coast AM.

Yes it's called life. The longer you go the more you learn. Although I wonder about some folks.

I don't do this for fun. I have a family to support. I didn't like the rates I was getting , an old timer looked me dead in the eye and said " go get it , figure out how to get it , commodity , trailer type , lane , service , do whatever it takes , figure it out and go get your money."

stop whinning and complaining. Don't be complacent , theres money in trucking but if you decide to listen to all these guys that get off on gloom and doom you will get dragged into the same crappy mentality. Guys that can barely affor basic maintenance and repairs but are running 3500-4000 miles a week after week and still complain, don't listen to them.

Befriend a a few guys that are doing well and have seem to figured it out. You will learn something

My biggest gripe wasn't repair bills but unpaid detention. The majority of my repair bills were a result of regulation burdens added to truckers in the last few years.Need I spell it out for U.
I'm a former Union driver because my wife relocated and I under estimated trucking earnings in the area we moved.I will still receive my Union pension when I reach 59 or 63 whenever I choose to collect.I am not and unhappy trucker.I love my job and have a blast everyday.
Consider yourself lucky to be immune to trucking's adversities experienced by the majority.

Kevin R., the poster child for "slow trucking."
