At the Denver terminal, waiting for a B-service. I could have forced this to be done during my home time in Jurupa Valley, but elected not to have them do it. I'm told we should be able to get the truck in the shop late this morning and once it is done I'll go talk to the planner to see if we can get a load back to Jurupa Valley. Then we can take a 34 after my trainee has her 50 hours so we can both have fresh 70's for team driving.

Regarding my issues with Jurupa Valley:

    - They failed to follow through to trouble shoot the wiring to the radiator. This was finally done by the Troutdale shop a month later (I'm impressed with Troutdale).

    - They failed to follow through to trouble shoot the pigtail. This was finally done at the Petro shop in Spokane, delaying us another few hours on the road.

    - They failed to install the windshield correctly two months ago. Nothing but nonstop screaming from gaps in the wind, like a bad porno flick. Now the windshield is developing cracks at the bottom. I'm torn whether to give them another "crack" at it when we get back to Jurupa Valley. If Denver's shop sees the cracks they will likely do the install and I don't know if they will bring in a real glass service pro or not, and then we will likely need to keep the truck in the warm shop to let it set up. In that case we would take our 34 here. Decisions... decisions...

I'm done with letting Jurupa Valley work on my truck. By the way, how's the Lathrop terminal when it comes to repairs? There's a possibility I may switch to home times up there.

Out of Lathrop ... But really can't tell you much about the shop. Other than some tire rotations and an occasional DOT inspection I don't use the shop. I would say they are about average - slightly better than Denver, on par with the old SLC, not as good as ELP or ALB.

    Doing a 10 at a Loves on I-15 at the US6 exit.

Pretty nice ride up 491/191/6 today. Great weather and hardly any traffic. MOAB was a breeze.
However..42 miles from I-15 while still high up in the mountains on 6 an inside drive tire blew apart. With it being only 18 deg and no cell service on my phone or the truck making a decision was a no brainer.

After looking at it I kept going. Nursed it down to I-15 to the Loves where I was getting fuel. Been here a few times before and knew they had a tire shop. An hour after getting here had a brand new tire on and got parked.

Just outside of Danville, IL. Went to get my load today at the address and yes, It was wrong. The guy told me that it happens all the time. For some reason Swift always sends us there. The place that I was picking up was 1 miles from where I was parked. And of course weight wrong since pallet weight is not included.

Lepton, I hear you. I have had this windshield pulled and put back in 3 times and replaced once. The door has been resealed and adjusted 6 times and still now and then a whistle. It finally went away once and just wind blowing in and ELP put in a new seal and the whistle started again when hit just a certain way. Now I have towels stuffed in the grove on the top of the door

Between Omaha and Lincoln NE at a little truck stop.
It's about 10 degrees here, and my truck is idling so my 1/4 tank of fuel doesn't gel.

I pick up in Lincoln in the morning, headed to SoCal on the 21st for an early morning delivery.

A nice light 12k load, so I should make quick work going over the pass on I-70.
It's also using my incoming hours to the max.

After I got past the snow last night in OK it has been very clear conditions.
A bit of wind, but not too bad.
I'm hoping to avoid some nasty winds in the Denver area when I go through.

Fort Chiswell, VA. Was offered a pplan from Campells going to VA and refused. Made a call to Command and they offered me a St Louis and a MI and then finally Plant City, FL, all of 12K and jumped on that. Even with the ldd and mt miles it is paying more than Swift.

At the T/A in Boise ID.

As far as I could go today from Spanish Fork with only 7 hours left on 70. Going to leave in the morning during daylight so I can enjoy the mountain views going over Cabbage to Pasco Wa. Live unload Thursday but I'm going to see if I can get in tomorrow afternoon but I doubt it.

Picked up a load at Conagra this morning in Lincoln, NE. It was a live load.
I must say, I was impressed with their operation.

I bumped the dock at 0815 and they had me loaded before 0845.
Two guys working in tandem, and it looked like they were dancing a waltz with those forklifts.
And luckily for me, I was the first truck there this morning. 3 more showed up as I was being loaded in what they say will be a very busy day.

I was also gifted with a sample of the product I'm carrying - a large tin of caramel popcorn (the good stuff, with almonds and pecans).
    Orville Redenbacher's Poppycock.
    Sweet!

I'm headed to Rancho Cucamonga, CA for a live unload the morning of the 21st. I'll probably have 4 hours left on my 70 when I get there.

Currently I'm at the Love's on I-76 near Denver, cooking a nice dinner of salmon, baked potato and carrots.
