I didn't have to post how to check your brake lights because that horse has already been beaten to death. Several others have offered useful techniques. Believe me I know how to check them, in fact that is one of the many things I teach to new drivers like yourself while I train them.

I could have have made a jab at your question or your trainers incompetence but chose not to. My point was to put all the super truckers in check so this thread can be useful and not tear you down.

One has to wonder just how much effort some students are putting into learning, every brake manual I have ever seen tells one how to do the brake light check.

Even if your truck has an electronic self checking process for your brake light or all lights. You still should get out and manually check your lights. How do you know the self check is working properly.
