Seeking Experience In Austin, Texas

I recently just received my permit here in Austin. I decided not to spend the fortune on a school teaching me. In the long run I'm starting to thing this might have screwed me. I keep calling places to find out who will train me or hire me on without schooling or experience. I'm not having much luck as of right now. I just want to get some driving experience for when I have to go take my drivers test. I refuse to give up! My goal in this was to get into the oil fields here in Texas and drive my rear off hauling water or sand. Now that the oil prices are tanking it seems that my dreams are diminishing real fast. I'm really interested in doing OTR as well as of right now. I'm just looking for a company that is willing to train me while I have a permit. I'd be willing to even stay with the right company if it worked out long term. I'm very dependable and punctual. I was raised by an O/O for many years. He taught me a lot before passing on a few years ago. I'm just looking to refresh the knowledge since it's been many years now or someone to just give me a chance.
