No, don't have a drop axle. If you lived in my area the triple t that we buy our trucks from just brought in a brand new on. Most of the Macks they get have hwy specs and they haven't been able to sell them. So they ordered this one with the same specs as mine, gonna make someone a good truck.

Rontonio, Hey, this was going through WY last month. Permit's filed at home, I'll ask wife to send me pic of actual permit weights if you'd like.
Can't remember exact numbers but usually run steers 17,500. Drives were fine. little over 58k if I remember. Trailer stuck in my mind because weighmaster commented being within 100lbs of 74,000 limit, (73,900) on 1st bolster, 79,700 2nd bolster before that.
I'm sure you'll be less then that. My empty is 62,800. I know pretty heavy, gotta love them stretch trailers. -
No need to look it up. I am 54k on 7 axles and close to 58k on 8 as 3+1
I don't have a jeep or enough neck for one, so I have been worried if I book one and then can't haul it I would be in deep you know what. I am just a one truck shop.

a mp8 is not pre emmision they didn't come out till 2008 Granite or RD will have alot heavier frame than a ch or cx. I would go pre 03 granite or rd with 427 stage 2 injectors 18fronts 44k camleback 4.42 and mack 13spd double rd rail . if you want newer mp8 with scr has been fairly trouble free bad injector cups on the first one's out

Friend has an '09 Granite with the MP8.
In 1,500-miles the crank was in two pieces, the re-gen/ burner has had numerous problems, recently they had to rebuild the accessory drive. You know what it takes to do that on a Mack (since it's a Volvo engine)?
Pull the engine out of the truck, the drive is on the BACK of the engine, right where you can't get to it. Maybe that's different on a Titan, but, think about it first.
Look at used, if you aren't going to use it every single day, it's pissing away money to buy a new truck to haul this stuff.

There's an economic benefit to rebuilding what works, retrofitting, etc. something that is mechanically and emissions-simpler than the new stuff.
Unless you have a justifiable reason, like a high-paying contract into California, emissions-compliant trucks are just a good way to spend money on something you don't need and the truck doesn't need to run.
Go take a look at the passenger's side of an ISX Cummins, and take a look at how it's set-up to pump massive amounts of exhaust back into the engine. There's no good from that. -
It will certainly be a used truck.
I spent about a year while at college working at a Caterpillar dealer just as all of the regen stuff starting rolling off of the line. I saw the problems and you are right, going to be avoiding that. Thank you for your input.
