If im scheduled for orientation does that mean I'm hired?

Just respectfully decline their offer and tell them you cannot attend orientation at this time.
I had 14 prehires and narrowed it to 3 and scheduled orientations a week apart just in case one didn't work out. When my first choice did work out I did just what I said above.
I still got calls and cards in the mail from choice 2 and 3 for a year afterwards asking if I was still interested wanting to schedule an orientation. They're used to it. It happens all the time. -
Just like the NFL getting invited to TRAINING CAMP does not mean your going to end up on the team roster , lot get cut for many reasons same with PREHIRE / ORIENTATION at a trucking outfit , your not yet an EMPLOYEE

Just tell recruiter you decided not to take the job offer at this time and thank her for taking the time with your application.

You're over thinking this; there's at least 100 companies that will hire you.
One of the biggest mistakes new drivers make is jumping on the first offer.
Another big mistake is not having all the endorsements, TWIC, passport. -
Not too be rude but you don't know my history, it's not that easy for me to get a job . -

I tried PTL,PAM,PRIME,Maverick and they all said no due to work history .
I don't want to work for werner or CRST.
