Been here a while...

I signed up here a while back but I just now discovered this section. I guess I better start reading farther down the list of topics.

I've been involved in trucking for over thirty years off and on as a driver and an owner. I sold out and retired a couple of years ago but a friend of mine talked me into helping him out in the office and as a truck boss..."part time". LOL...The part time rapidly turned into full time...I need to talk to my friend about this, maybe with a club in my hand...but so far it's been interesting. We have a good crew and good people to haul for. That's half the battle won.

I'm planning on dropping back to part time as soon as we can find somebody to train but in the meantime I'll hang out here. Reading about different kinds of trucking...not to mention some of the problems with companies and drivers...is a good education.
