I tend to agree with this. There's actually enough space between my deck and my 5' trailer box. I'm thinking of just strapping it to the top of the box. There's also room in the dunnage rack, but I'm reserving that space for my pipe stakes.

That's what I do strap it to the top of my box. Its a little giant knock off and seems to be holding up well. Every time I use it I spray all the mechanical pieces down with JB80.

My ladder is a 16'. Can also be used as a step ladder. I'm not sure what they are called but those huge U shaped rods that hold your front suspension leaf springs down. I had one side cut in half so now it looks like a fish hook. Both ends are threaded. I then drilled a hole and bolted them in place. The ladder hangs there with a bungee cord on each end.

One more thing. Before I had the ladder there I had it on the head board and it was a pain to get at. Because of that I rarely never used it when I should have. Being on the side of the trailer makes it really handy.
