Here I sit in the Heartland Dallas (Seagoville) yard. When I left Heartland back in June I dropped my truck off here and drove a rental car home. I never thought I would be back here as I was moving West to Nevada.
Never say never as here I am. Much to my surprise there is another Gordon driver here. Probably got the same load from Utah to Texas as I did.
Looking forward to seeing some of the office and shop guys tomorrow. I am sure they will be surprised to see me back. Not to mention having lunch at Wings tomorrow before I leave for Loveland Colorado. Great burgers.
i have noticed a lot more Cascadias here than when I left. I guess heartland has finally gotten rid of the majority of the Maxxfarces. That is a good thing.
Stay warm out there!

How do you like Las Vegas?
I moved to Seven Hills there.
I'm also a transplant from the East Coast. -
So far so good as we refuse to live in Kommiefornia. Moving to Boulder City when I get back. Much quieter there.

I was in Seagoville twice. I like it and the then-shop manager was a nice fellow. He even let me run my very dirty truck through the wash bay twice. Without a trailer! Neither he nor I understood why HTLD dispatch allowed a Heartland truck to hook up to an empty Gordon trailer when I was there in a Gordon truck looking for one...and had to wait because my Gordon dispatcher wouldn't let me hook up to an empty Heartland trailer. Weird.

Talk about strange...I ran my Gordon truck through the truck wash today and when I parked back on the bobtail line I dried off the windows. While outside i realized I was parked next to my old Heartland truck! I should be playing the Powerball today!

Have they started outfitting their trucks with an APU? I think I read somewhere that some driver saw one on a Heartland truck.
-
All of the new Prostars I saw had APU boxes mounted on the drivers side. They were empty though.
and they have Cummins motors, not Maxxforce. -
Cummins, good. Maxxforce, not so much. I'm not a big ProStar fan, anyway.
-
There is far more storage places in their new Prostars than in the Cascadia Evolutions from what I could see. I'm not much of a mid roof fan.
