Sorry to hear that theewukid u had crap lucky with a trainer. For sure its your fault you were in control of the truck & trailer unit. Just have to turn this negative to a positive. The positive is a learning lesson, Time to time we all learn from this. Every company has dead beats. Just have to filter them out. A really good trainer is a person that takes pride in their job. Also a person that can show you the ropes how to do things properly and safe. Good Luck with truck'in![]()

I was in a similiar situation tc with swift we were at a truck stop got hit sometime during the night he had me go to the fuel island notice it there called it in. Though we were less than a football field away from are parking spot it was considered leaving the scene he was stand up about it took the talked swift out of a preventable. Never again would i take anyones word on anything.

I agree with pattyj. ALSO, this isn't necessarily the Swift Training program, this portion is your team driving initiation portion. You are (at least I was) encouraged to request another driver-trainer, for any reason. I've heard many bad stories about driver-trainers, especially with "starter companies" like swift, schneider, england, etc. I was lucky with mine, he was good, experienced, and patient, and didn't challenge me beyond what I was comfortable doing until I felt good about it. And even though I didn't like driving that year for Swift, (as they will blame every little thing on the driver) the terminal training portion of it I felt was great program. Finish your 13 months, and get outta there, and onto better pay and better companies.
pattyj Thanks this.
