Holy hell this thread went one end of stupid to the other without getting closed!

 

You could come down and get it, but big dangerous Chicago is too scary for you

 

Learn patience, truckers and car drivers do each of these behaviors. This is only going to happen more, more trucks/cars on the road. The trucks are not getting faster, they are going slower each year as most can barely pass my 62 mph truck. I honestly avoid passing unless the driver is erratic -+10mph, or I know they are going to stop. Since I have had the OnGuard system with radar and following distance info it's an eye opener, cars are going way faster than I thought, 30+ Mph over all day long and then get angry when they catch trucks who will for the majority be averaging around 65mph.

 

We are not in Europe. That's what they do there, your rudeness can stay across the pond where it belongs. Flashing lights really pisses us off because you're adding an element of aggression to a situation that requires focus on part of the driver.

 

And second, don't think for a minute that if you're flashing lights two semi drivers side by side will intentionally stay side by side just to piss you off further. I've seen it done for 15-30 mins at a time

 

I can see that my favorite flowchart definitely needs to be included in the curriculum at Supertrucker U.

 

Okay... I think I missed the part where the truck driver is getting a lot of support. Seems to me, with few exceptions, both sides are getting their fair share of blame.

 

I would but I would rather stay put
where drivers don't make laws while
driving and claim ownership of the left
lane and I,d rather not pay tolls
just to get from one end of town
to the other. Besides I wouldn't blend in very well
