I can't believe you guys are complaining about getting flashed
Marksteven, AfterShock, Smoky and 3 others Thank this. -
Now Mr. Ed, you know truck drivers will complain about any and everything. Why, I'd bet, if they were to be hung, they'd complain the noose wasn't brand new. It's also been said, if a truck driver ain't complaining, you'd better check his pulse, he might be dead.

I remember seeing a sign in a customer's shipping department once: "Arguing with a truck driver is like wrestling a pig in the mud... after a while you realize he's enjoying himself."Mr Ed, Ebola Guy, browndawg and 1 other person Thank this.

I tell people you could give a truck driver a trailer load of red-headed strippers and he'd ##### that they weren't brunettes!
JReding Thanks this. -
Know the difference between a truck driver and a puppy?
After a while, the puppy stops whining. -
You explained your own situation.
You are not a trucker.
Old school guys like me will take offense to being flashed. I despise it when rookie drivers flash me over when I put my signal on. I'm not asking or need permission to come over. 4 wheelers in general think flashing is being courteous. I assure you,.. its not. Its not welcomed or wanted by the majority of truckers. There are guys who it doesnt bother them.
I speak for myself here and I respectfully request that people do not flash truckers. Guys like me with overly sensitive eyes get blinded if I happen to be looking in the mirror to get over when flashed. The proper etiquette is to dim off or to running lights,.. flash running lights,.. or simply do nothing. If you want to be courteous and let the driver over,.. slow down and back off. Blinding a driver is offensive and disrespectful to me. Please dont flash.

I agree.
I think 4 wheelers do it because they see truckers doing it. I also think it's just laziness. In my cascadia I have to lean up and turn off my headlights then turn them back on. I don't mind it because that's what I'd want others to do for me. Most people just flash the high beams because it doesn't require moving.
Back when I had a cb, a guy in a Cascadia flashed his marker lights to let me over, I didn't see them because he had his brights on, all I saw in my mirror was blue aftermarket high beams he put in. He got mad and said "you're welcome, guess I don't get any thanks". To which I replied that I didn't see him signal anything because of his bright lights. Then he turned them off, only to turn them back on a few seconds later.
I don't care what your age is, what company you work for, what truck you drive, or how much experience you have, there's no excuse for being an ####### -
I've been saying the same thing for years. If you can't let me know to come over without hitting your brights, whether it be because you have daylight running lights or because you're just too lazy to reach for the switch, do nothing. I know where my trailer is.Pedigreed Bulldog and Iwegian Thank this.
