Beware of USXpress

in the sleeper of a company truck sounds like a workmen's comp issue to me

you are not "off duty" when you are in the sleeper, the only time you are truly off-duty is when the truck is in the yard and you are home, in your own bed

 

i met folks who worked at CREngland for YEARS, and they too were happy

 

Happy and smart don't always go together.

 

To each his own. Id be willing to compare paychecks with any company guy.

 

Sorry I have more to say about this. I thank god my mother who was a single mother of three scratched and clawed her way out of a dead end minimum wage job to become a government employee to give us a good life. I don't see this as admiral OK I guess its better than welfare. But come on.

Don't take a lot of brains to live in a truck and make a check.

 

You would know wouldn't you.

 

Lets give the truck driver at CR England the same respect as any other truck driver who is under a lot of pressure and stress to both drive safely and deliver their freight in a timely manner.

The CR England truck driver, as with every other truck driver on the road, is risking his or her life every day to earn a living for his or her family.

It could very well be that the CR England truck driver has NOT been able to find another job at another trucking company. Let's face it, the economy is constantly treating people harshly with layoffs and terminations. Some of the trucking companies may have hiring freezes or may have let some of their drivers go due to hard times.

The CR England truck driver, as with every other truck driver on the road, also pays into the federal and state income tax systems, along with paying into social security and Medicare. Chances are, the CR England truck driver is more than likely contributing to a 401(K) plan, trying to supplement his or retirement, down the road.
