He's probably super busy right now msjamie hasn't posted in a while either, I know target's dry freight has nearly doubled recently. Reefer freight mostly stays the same, but lately they have asked me if I wanted to cover a dry load if I have the spare time.
Hopefully all is well, but I'm sure they are just running their wheels off right now.

Welcome to the team! I might see you around on occasion. I'm usually asleep when we are at the DC but during the solo phase of training I'm sure I'll see you around. I think I'm the only one at the account with a grey Cascadia.blsqueak Thanks this.

On I-90 headed east from Minneapolis to Detroit. Have a live unload tomorrow morning so we'll shut down at the TA in Battle Creek, MI... which is one of my favorite truck stops.
Last night having my CB turned on while driving north on I-35 was an important tool with a hard broadside wind and patches of black ice. I heard there was a truck jackknifed ahead, so I slowed WAY down when I saw the emergency lights at MM 10 in Minnesota. That's a stretch with a bridge right over a lake down in a canyon. The wind was howling through there with a full on blizzard and the road was coated in solid ice.
I hit my 4-ways as soon as I saw the emergency lights about a mile ahead as I crested the hill and started light braking to get the 4-wheelers running up on me to slow down. Fortunately they did, but both of them started having difficulty on the ice.
The truck jackknifed just beyond the bridge was a guy that blew by me about 30 minutes before in Iowa. I guess he won't be smack talking for awhile.HousTank and Moosetek13 Thank this. -

Concordia, MO. What a long day. Pulled over to take a break in MO and there was a message from customer service. My del appts changed from 0600 to 0400 to 0500 on the 28th. Called in and they had me take it back south to Edwardsville and t-call. Then over to coleman for a live load. Almost 4.5 hours so when done this is far as I could get. Now on my way to Hammond and then DeKalb and then West Jefferson by 0800 on the 27th. Do not think that this will happen since I could not get far today. I was planning to at least get to Kingdom City. it is a target to target pallet load so do not think that 0800 is that important.

Taking my break at a rest area just across the TN state line coming out of GA on I-75N. Since I pulled in here I-75N has come to a stop. Something must have happened at the 24/75 split...lots of cops, EMTs and fire trucks roaring up the shoulders with sirens wailing.
Got 2 pplns today. First is a live load in Chattanooga in the morning with a drop in Ft Worth followed by a light drop n hook in Ft Worth going to Denver, live unload at the end. Will keep me rolling over thanksgiving and I can get that SIMS out of the way at the terminal.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Yeah they won't care when you get back to the DC with those pallets, just call them and give them a heads up when you'll be ready for a load or send a Mac 34.
BTW Dekalb will not give you paperwork so make sure you've got some blank BOL's with you. -
I'm still here. It's just that my computer time has been taken up by other interests. It seems that World of Warcraft has recently released a new expansion...

In other news, I'll be running team in the new year. A good friend of mine wants to team with me, and she's going to Academy in January. I talked to my onsite leader about staying on the account, and he's glad to keep us. We'll be OTR most of the time, subject to recall when the freight load needs us. (Basically, right before the surge drivers get called in.)Moosetek13, jenziedk and inkeper Thank this. -
Gary, IN. Thanks to yesterday shipper it messed me all up on hours. By the time delivered I had the hours to get to my next pu in DeKalb but would not have the hours to find parking, so now get to wake up at 0330 to get there and pu and get to West Jefferson by 1600 tomorrow. Should not be any real traffic so can fly and still get there by 1500

Detroit, MI headed to Denver, CO. Trainee at the wheel. I'll take over just before Indiana and run through the snowstorm currently in Illinois and Iowa on I-80. With only 3500 lbs in the box the high winds through Iowa and Nebraska should provide some entertainment.
We might need to park it for high winds around kick off time for tomorrow's games...
inkeper Thanks this.
