Oh nice. Kinda ironic considering I was talking to my OSR today about IC and he said that given the truck payment, etc that you can't go home much as a company driver does but everyone on here is home all the time. What gives?

 

They aren't an OSR with opinions.

 

With my payment (truck, truck insurance, health insurance) it generally takes about 2 work days to reach the break even point. When things slow down over winter we'll see how that changes

I have no problem getting home when I want to. Now to be honest this week I picked up a load out of Texas going to NJ that don't deliveer til Tuesday so I won't have a settlement next friday, I've told SFI and SNI and they understand and said no problem double up the next week. Now I knew this when I took the load and I'm in a position where I can do this and it not affect me either way.

 

Thanks for the responses guys. How do you get started? Who do you talk to so you can find out if your driving record is good enough?
