If Teamcare was never voted in recently , I would absolutely be on the praising wagon about the incredible high pay and the putting up with retarded management.
Excellent Benefits is out the window, Out of pocket expenses now for the dumbest crap.
$96 hr for black friday will be nice.............. Too pay for benefits.
RECAP: UPS pays very well, Also will work your ##### off and have crap benefits and good pension. Downside. Get ready to file against stupidvisors. It's not disneyland
Anyone work for UPS?

I can tell you one thing about Teamster's health insurance from having it -- it is still light years better than the HSA, $X,000 per year deductible, and pay your company for said coverage that the majority on non union drivers suffer with.
I was raised to be a union hater, then I went to work for a union carrier. I can only say that I wish every driver in America could be compensated like a union driver. The union pay and bennies is almost 2/3rds of the way to what we should be paid, as opposed to roughly half what we should be paid by non union companies. Take for instance too - these kids starting out at $25 and $30K a year and living on the road? If that ain't indentured servitude, I don't really know what is.
When the companies whine about lack of drivers, the answer is obvious - who in their right mind would be doing this unless:
A - You absolutely love it, which I do
B - You have no other job options*, which is me too
*Once you turn 50, the cost of your health insurance skyrockets. 50 somethings cost twice to insure for health coverage as 20 and 30 somethings. This is why you see so many of us old farts out there - trucking is so desperate to fill seats they hire 50 and 60 somethings despite the costs for our health insurance. Has the health insurance industry basically legalized age discrimination for costs of service. Yes indeed they have. But remember - they paid good money for all those senators and congressmen.Toomanybikes, TahoeTrucker, 77fib77 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I applied once and interviewed for a package car job. Was hard up for a job at the time and thought maybe it could be alright. Never called me back and looking back I'm glad they didn't want anything to do with me. I'm a trucker and they could probably tell I wasn't cut out to be some "big company" schmoe in an ugly uniform. Not my thing.

Thnx guys ....i am applying at UPSF for a full time road driver and needed some info on this company , they seem to be full of red tape ,so im not sure if i will ever hear back from them , i have a crystal clear track record and they seem to be a solid outfit ,so it's worth taking a shot at getting onboard with them

Just fill out the application, go on the interview and see what the TM has to say. I work as a feeder driver for UPS and if I wasn't working for that side of the company I would be working at UPSF. They are a solid outfit with good drivers and some of the new Volvo tractors are awesome. Both areas take real good care of the equipment so you don't get screwed with by DOT.
