driving over the limit, need help!

    I do not know of any regulation that is easier on the state level and that would allow them to do this. You would be correct in proceeding with this. It does not sound safe.

    Yes tell us then I was leased to a CO.went to a safety meeting what safety man was telling us how to log illigal.

    I worked for a company, and during the safety meeting, the owner came in and stated:

    You drivers have no reason to ever say you do not have the hours to make a delivery. We have lots of logbooks here. I don't ever want to hear that excuse again.

    The owner of the company I am speaking of is now dead but his son continues the tradition.

    Mine went belly up. The company truck I drove was repo'd one night with all of my stuff in it. They put in the garage for free shopping.

    You should be able to run legal and log legal and all the legal stuff. Just learn split breaking and it just might fit your life style legally and everyone is happy.

    I have to agree with the "rookie" driver talking. Seems very smart about what he/she is getting into (sorry threads was way to long for me to read and figure out who is what :( ).

    Love you guys/gals and you know me, RUN LEGAL! Learn to split break and you will realize when you use it then it does help out tremendously:yes2557:

    Nope left not because of that but because of no work.But I starting out hauling grain and oilfield lumber Lots of other stuff too.Knew when I needed to get some sleep but didnt have a log book,Ran overloaded most of the time and you better learn to handle a truck then.

    They have to do all this but because the trucks run Intrastate only with a State DOT# the US DOT said it has to be reported to the state not them.For some reason you have same laws state and federal but the diff.is whether you have a US DOT# or State DOT# for the company to be reported to.I am still trying since I dont work there now.BTW thats not as easy as you would think.
