Have to start by talking to your DBL because your DBL and terminal manager have to sign off on you if you want to make the switchover

For the sake of clarity, the "2 work days for break even" is breaking even for the week, correct?

Heard a Schneider ad on sat radio that claimed a solo van driver could make 54k a year their first year...lets crunch the numbers...31cpm for 30,000 miles + .02cpm bonus for first 1/4 driving =$9,900.
    Next 1/4 32cpm + .02cpm bonus @ 33,000 miles = $11,220.
    Third 1/4 you are up to 34cpm + 2cpm bonus at 34,000 =$12,240; forth 1/4 same rate but lets add some miles...34cpm + .02cpm X 36,000 =12,960 for a yearly total of $46,320.
Many new drivers I know don't try to earn the bonus...don't understand why you wouldn't try to qualify for miles you have already driven.

How many new drivers can pull off 10,000 a month let alone 12,000 a month their first year? How much TAH can be factored in with this level of mileage and if not time at home time then time spent with a divorce lawyer? To run mileage that would even begin to approach the claim requires a perfect tractor with no significant down time and quality runs with zero live loads or trailer searches...how many drivers are experiencing that standard? Seven and 1/2 months and I have slightly over 83,000 miles.
I like working for SNI and I like running western region...I really like running dedicated WalMart because of the day rate @ $200, high quality trailers and roomy DCs and no navigo bs directions...

Knowing that someone is going to post that they run super miles every day, week, month...the ad is aimed at new drivers. New drivers sign the form where they accept the over speed standard not to exceed 5%...not many drivers run more than 10 hrs at 60...I know I sure don't come close to that.

I just wish the ad wasn't a pipe dream of the unattainable...if reality is so sucky then work to fix the reality as opposed to drawing in new drivers with a fantasy that doesn't exist. Not sure why SNI has to resort to false advertising.

SLC re-start...the last TAH (Reno) was late September which was only the second time since I started last April. Had turkey at Frontier Pies in Twin Falls, Idaho...sat all alone in a booth...was happy to have Great Falls in my rearview...was very happy the temps had risen to double digits.
I was thankful I wasn't eating while my family was gathered around my hospital bed, glad I wasn't eating dressed in an orange jumpsuit, I was thankful to have a job I enjoy and that no one was crashed into a ditch because of something I had done...I was (and remain) thankful to be loved and be in love. Thankful ferret is no longer sexually attracted to my Uggs; very thankful!
Now if only Oregon can win out all will be right with the world.

    Little Eddy...meds adjusted.
