Ok thank you for taking the time. So if I only made $500 one week they will reimburse me the $200 on top of what I made the next week. So what if I only made $500 two weeks in a row would they still reimburse me $400 on my third check? I am very excited to start at Covenant, fingers crossed that it goes smoothly.

    Blacktop Junkie Thanks this.

I agree with Pattyj the tuition reimbursement seems better at Covenant, they also supposedly pay you $15000 total regardless of how much you paid for your school. I think Werner only pays up to what you paid for the school.

I was considering Werner at first but after reading more and more, it seems like people talk a lot worse of Werner than they do of Covenant. Also the weekly guarantee of $700 pretty much closed the deal. If I can make at least $700 a week (hopefully a lot more) then I won't regret my decision. If I went to Werner and somehow made $500 or less I would feel like trash.

I'm just going to use what has been said to answer the question so as not to anger the "Gods". For every week that you come up short of 700 you will get paid the difference the following week. I'm 95% positive this will be the correct answer

Blacktop Junkie could I ask one more question? During training is there a chance of going home for a day or two? I read on another forum that after 3 weeks the guy went home for a couple of days. I am planning to be out for six weeks just in case. But I am curious if they offer some kind of home time in the middle of the training. Either way I have committed myself to doing this on Monday so there is no second guessing here.

Don't let it raise your BP, it was obvious what the verdict was going to be. It should not have been a surprise to any one. People will never stop being ignorant it is only human to over react. You can't worry about something beyond your control. BTW this was the fortune I got the other night, seems strangely coincidental especially since I was talking to a friend in line and telling him about going to trucking in a few days.

Going home during training?? Only if the trainer decides he wants to take time off during training you. Myself I take time off in between students. The sooner you're off my truck (as a capable driver) the better for you and me. Me because I get to go home and you because you get to make more money than your training salary.
