So the pasco fleet is being shut down effective Jan 30th 15. It sucks because I really love it here and the other drivers are great. They got word on the 26th. Fantastic way to bring in the new year!

Swift screwed around, #####ed and moaned at ConAgra for more money and ConAgra said "keep it pushing". Now we're all getting laid off/ sent back otr.

I refuse. I'm going to take the lousy 1k severance package. Since my year under contract will be over and I won't owe them I dime. I'll try to find a good fit here, if not, I'm going back to California. Which I really don't want to do. Either way, Swift just depresses me and I really don't want to work for them any longer. Didn't want to in the first place.

I was part of their Quincy fleet, for some months. Our manager up there saw the writing on the wall, and left. Loads were getting snatched up by other truckers, despite us supposed to get the lions share. Some days I didn't even make $100 in 14 hours. I hated it, working 6 days a week for low pay. I eventually got into an accident unloading in the plant there, and Lamb Weston said I wasn't allowed to work there anymore. I transferred to the reefer fleet, for all of one day. They told me to drive from Quincy, to the tri cities for a 35 dollar load. That was two hours of my free labor. I spent more of my free time finding a trailer, then someone from the office asked who I was, as I was bumbling around looking for a trailer. Turns out, I was supposed to get training. Dispatcher hubg me out to dry, claiming that I knew the procedure of the reefer division. I had a ride along from the office show me the ropes, I made 35 dollars that day. I was away from my house in Moses Lake, for a total of 16 hours. They wanted me to get a hotel, and sleep there. I told them to #### off, and that I was done getting jerked around.

All in all, I'm not surprised. I knew things were folding there, and quick.
