Well freightshakers are freightshakers in the first place but these trucks are pretty stripped.
As in my first company my Freightshaker had foglights, light in cubby holes in sleeper, APU, seats that actually worked etc.
Here you have none of that.. forget APU you'll ever have a battery pack for AC that dies after 5 hours OR Opti-Idle where the engine turns on and off by itself constantly.
If it's 100 degrees inside the cab but 70 degree outside the truck won't Opti-Idle as it measures the temperature outside and not inside for the engine to start.
There is a range in which the engine won't turn on and off for AC, it's a sad design. Not all trucks have that though but a lot do.
The seats are terrible, I have to stick a pillow behind my back or else I get bad back pain. I didn't have that in the International but I was only in that truck for a week before it broke lol.

It's just a freightliner man, these things rattle apart.. man I even can rained on in this truck INSIDE from multiple areas when it's raining outside.
These Trucks were put together with K-Mart Clips I tell you.

I was with a trainer for 3 weeks here and saw his paychecks through the qualcomm.
I talked about it with my trainer, he gets paid ALL miles the truck moves plus $125 extra a week for training.
We did a couple coast to coast runs while I was in "training".

Do the math 5800 x .51 + $125 is nearly $3100 in one week

 

lol yup I refuse to sleep in a hot truck.
The truck won't run idling forever with the ignition on but there's different tricks I heard people do to prevent it from shutting off.

Now I will say there ARE some trucks here that have a smart system with a battery pack AC system that will turn on and off the truck when the batteries get low to keep the AC always working.
Don't have that in mine, I just have the battery pack that dies in a few hours and I wake up up drenched in sweat

Supposedly Crete is done with the Battery stuff because it's too expensive to maintain, it costs LESS to idle the truck that's why the new trucks are opti idle.

 

My battery HVAC system in my prostars here have worked great. Turns on to idle 1 to 3 times during the night for an hour.
