    Repetion, repetition, repetition. ...................

The only way it's gonna come, & why you are out there. It's going to take awhile. No possible substitution for rinse & repeat!

Local city/town traffic with all the starting and stopping, and doing the up and down grades (especially the rolling & repetitive ones) will whip you into shape. Rush hour traffic jam actually great training ground, too, though not so much for nerves!

Once you get over the nerves & relax, it will come along much easier. That tense crap will mess you up with everything! But, it too, shall pass.

Well, crazy few days. Got to drive in ice rain, rush hour traffic in Nashville Tennessee, went through a pretty good rain storm. Little nervous, but coming along. The down shifting is slowing coming along. I've noticed it's better when I don't beat myself up over it and just go slowly and it goes right in.

Made it to our drop off in Tolleson AZ. I FINALLY GOT THE DOWN SHIFTING!!! I figured out I was missing 8 gear...once that clicked its been all gravy. Not as smooth if a transition, but it still goes. That will come in time. Drove through moutains on a 6% down grade & did a little city freeway & streets. Stalled though cuz I forgot to put the splitter down & was in 8th instead of 3rd. Grrrr....next stop Ontario CA

Little bit of an update. Sick as a dog. Had to do an emergency stop the other day so I could throw up. Sitting here at walmart in Springfield Ohio overnight since we can't deliver till 4am. Took some meds and going to get some sleep.

Things have been going good. Down shifting is starting to come along. I backed into a receiver, a truck stop and into the space here at walmart.

Weather hadn't been the greatest. Might be heading to Florida tomorrow where my trainer said I should rack up some hours, but he wants me to rest tonight.
