There's news on CDL LIFE that 180 Swift employees at the Pasco, WA facility will be laid off in January. I didn't even know we had anything in Pasco. It would be nice if a new terminal and drop yard list would be compiled. I guess they're too busy implementing the new and improved hometime policy to update the list.

Doing a 10 at a Loves just north of Conroe TX on I-45.

Finally got the SIMS knocked out and picked up my load from Waxahatchie to Conroe. Drop this in the morning and head down to Houston to pick up a preloaded trailer for a 2-stop in Sioux City and Sioux Falls that I found on mac30.

It really sounds like you should come down with a sudden case of the flu, lasting for several days.

So, here at home in Burnsville, MN.
I made a 'proper' Thanksgiving meal today with a nice 19 pound turkey.

I came across a new series on Netflix called 'Black Mirror'.
Interesting show. Rather Twilight Zone-ish, British made.
There are 2 seasons up, each 3 episodes.
I would preview each before letting kids watch.

I also just bought a new firearm.
I won some money at a casino in NM a couple weeks back, and decided to spend it on a new gun.

It's a Henry Big Boy lever action rifle, .44 Magnum.
I've wanted a lever action ever since I was a little kid watching The Rifleman.
From the reviews I've read it is one sweet rifle. Very accurate, very pretty with all the brass and walnut, very durable because of the simple design.
Now all I have to figure out is, how to modify it to allow the rapid fire that the Rifleman did... (I actually know how it is done, I just need the money and a willing and able person to fabricate the part and put it in.)
I'll be going out to a range Friday with my nephew to test it out. And, I can't wait!

At a brand new QUIET Cenex in Sioux Center IA for my 10.

Finished my D/H to Conroe TX yesterday and went down to Houston to pick up my 2-stop to IA and SD. Finished 1st stop up the street and an hour drive over to Sioux Falls in the morning to finish it off. This was the kind of schedule I like..1200 miles and just a hair over two days to finish. Going fishing on Mac30 tonight before the planners get me. Nice and cold up here unlike muggy mist in OKC last night.

Was a long night, went to Paso Robles and Salinas and Tomorrow doing Paso Robles again and then Atwater this time, I feel like im dedicated Paso lately lol. There was a surge driver Sunday night who was trying to tell me to be careful at Paso Robles and that it was hard because of the dock and guardrail etc, I looked at him and told him I know every store and have been to Paso over 50 times this past year and if he cant handle that store then he shouldnt even be here especially since its not hard. Then again that guy doesnt want to work and thinks everything is hard.

Those who were interested in driving surge contact me, I have already messaged Lepton since I know he can drive and worth me recommending. I was told tonight by the ECT that the site manager wants to replace a couple of the lousy surge drivers we have right now and I told him I might be able to help find some decent guys.
