Well I'm not mad at anyone...like I said just stating what I know are facts....Believe me , I know how the system runs....I was one of the really lucky ones , and got a great job , with a great company early on in my career , and stayed there for over 30 years until I retired in 2011....GSF ( Golden State Foods) was the company just for reference. Drove over 3 million safe , accident free miles with them also....all truckers aren't underpaid , far from it , those who choose to are , and its a sad thing. If a company wants a safe and productive driver then said company (insert the company of your choice here) must 1st make the choice to hire only those drivers with the experience and necessary skills to do the job. I'm talking 5 years minimum depending on the type of trucking to be done....OTR can be somewhat more lax , but LTL / food service / fuel tankers require a more experienced skill-set , and should be paid along those lines. THIS IS THE REASONING BEHIND MY ORIGINAL POST.

You know you drove for 38 years and they want a refresher course, who`s going to test you, someone that drove for maybe 2-3-4 years?? NOT going to happen. You probably have more mile on a pallet jack than the Trainer.

Trainers are Truck Drivers, that have more than 20 years driving. PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!

    OriginalBigfoot Thanks this.
