Yes, I'm in Virginia, I've seen a few on I-81 near Roanoke, and they have ads for positions in Roanoke.

Thanks, I've seen way more of the dryvan's than the flatbed's in my travels back and forth to truck driving school.

looking into applying for a shuttle driver job out of Louisville , KY. Any info on pay etc would be appreciated. I have a clean record , plenty of experience ,XT endorsement. If one does get hired on as a shuttle driver, are they the type of company that would try and get you to do something else , i.e say work on the dock or go do a regional or otr run.I do have a few tattoos on my arms, can cover up with a full sleeve shirt.

If I am not mistaken, you have to have at least one year of employment before being considered for a shuttle driver. The old "someone has to die" saying pretty much applies to those jobs. Depending on your home terminal, or course.

What is Averitt's rider policy? Would my 12 year old be able to come out on the road in the summer or is it strictly spouses that they allow?

Does anyone on here drive out of Baton Rouge or St Rose? I will be starting in February out of Baton Rouge terminal.

I like to be able to plug in a 110V mini fridge to keep my food costs down. Do the Averitt trucks support this? I know they may have a 1500W inverter but thats useless with idle restrictions and only a four battery system. Maverick's trucks had 6 accessory bats to keep things running. Just don't want to flatbed anymore and their temp division has a 2 -3 week out minimum.
