PTL? Good/bad feedback wanted. Ty

Being in TN where you are, you have a lot of options. If you're in shape, id opt for a flatbed company like BTC, Maverick or TMC. Good van companies: Epes Transport, Averitt Express, Schneider, HO Wolding.

Unfortunately, BTC doesn't hire student drivers straight out of school anymore. We haven't for about 2 years now. We do, however, hire new flatbed drivers with 3 months of verifiable OTR experience.

 

They are good to get your otr with but you will spend as much time sitting as you do driving. We finally have a great planner and are running more. Not a lot of what the recruiter tells you is true actual only one thing she told me was true. Don't mean to talk bad about them it is just fact and I wish someone would have told me.

 

PTL is a decent starter company. I didn't last long with them though because they always had a problem getting me home for home time.So I moved on.The worst thing was staying at the flea bag motel for orientation! The rooms were really nasty! Enough said. Trucks are ok and run about 65 I think.
Personally I liked Schneider National better. They do have their quirks but all companies do and I was always treated well with them.
