I had a similar problem one time. Truck shut down going over a bump or climbing a bridge. Finally found problem with main fuses for the red power line from battery. Check main junction box for the hot wire usually under driver side under driver door. There are three 175 watts fuses $3.00 each. Worth a try.

The old Cats had 2 wires to the injector pump, Im pretty sure the wire that cuts the fuel when you turn the key off still exists on the newer trucks. That wire is at the end of the same harness that runs the starter, a lot of times that heavy clump of wires gets ziptied together and those smaller wire connectors will loosen up, and when you hit a bump the engine will shut down and come right back on. I agree that's a good area to look at and wiggle stuff around with the engine running!

So update, I got the truck back again from freight liner here locally only to find out the truck was not fixed. I got roughly 30 miles into my load and it just started shutting down. I got the load back to the shipper and headed back to freight liner only for the truck to shut down for good on the side of I-75. Three miles from the shop. Had to be towed in the rest of the way. Turns out one of the main power wires to the ECM (they say they have check a dozen times) was fading out and causing the volts to show 0. They replace the wire and did some cleaning and bam! the truck works great. That was a long pain in the rear ordeal.

Also check for two small wires in the battery box, one positive one negative, they will have connectors about8-10 inches from the terminals. Cut those out and connect them without the quick connects. I see this all the time. So often that everytime a new truck comes in i do that right away
