Pulling an over size load. Had cruise set at 62mph.
Felt like the engine momentarily shut off and turned back on. Cruise turned off. I got on the pedal and felt ok. But noticed when I let off the jake didnt come on. Tried low jake and high jake... nodda. No check engine light on.. so this really has me baffled.
Is this something I can fix out here or does this need to go in the shop?
I'm crossing i80 heading to i84 and will be going down the Cabbage. I'm not overly heavy. Scaled at 63k but definitely not looking to go down the cabbage with out my jake.
What can I look for to see if this is an easy fix?

I think there's a pressure switch located under the floor near the clutch that deactivates the Jake & cruise. If for what ever reason that switch is being pressed, your Jake is shut off.
If your cruise is Ok that would be eliminated, but if the cruise is off, then its one place to look.Hurst Thanks this. -
Not sure. I didnt turn it back on. Just talked with a guy here. He said it sounds like an actuator bolt broke. Possibly sensor also. I'm 5 miles from MHC Kenworth in Cheyenne. Couple other places too. At least I'm in a good area for this to happen.
