I don't wear anything from my companies unless it's given to me, or I'm cold and I forgot a sweatshirt so I have to buy one and the place I work has a "store"

Doctors, lawyers, engineers, bankers, accountants, etc almost never wear company apparel outside of work. Police, firemen, truck drivers, mechanics, construction workers, etc often do.

What is accepted in blue collar circles is often frowned upon amongst white collar types.

Being a freight broker is not something that you want to advertise in public due to all the lying, cheating, & bad relationships that have formed through the years. It aint all the brokers fault but at least the truckers don't have to hide their profession in public. :biggrin_25519:

Speak for yourself. I don't tell a lot of people I'm a truck driver. Not interested in the stigma from some of the more "interesting" drivers. I would rather be known as a broker some days. At least they aren't throwing piss bottles out the window.

Mudguppy, cnsper, Lady K and 5 others Thank this.

here is a thought, do this for a test....

go get you a hat that say's I am a broker, and a shirt that says if it isn't brokered by me then its not a real load.

then wear that in the truckstops just to see what kind of reaction you get...lmao...

As drivers we've got really cool t-shirt options like "I'm here to take your load not your ####" or "you mess with me you're messing with the whole trailer park" lol
