Shut down In La Grande OR. I have an empty, and the 80+Mph between here and Pendleton hasn't been very forgiving to many trucks. I'm going to see if they open the interstate up again here in the next few hours.

Dangit! I've got a new trainee getting on the truck early a.m. tomorrow. I did a Mac-30 and selected a nice little run to Tracy, CA, thinking it would be ideal for miles and getting his feet wet ...

    ... oops! Literally!

How's the conditions up near Lathrop now? Think that was a bad move to head up there at this time?

Paid less than $3.00 a gallon in Phoenix on Tuesday, $3.05 at Lathrop yesterday, and $3.09 in Buckeye, AZ today. Wasn't worth dealing with the inspection lanes at the terminal to get more sub $3 a gallon fuel.

For some reason Swift is deeply discounting fuel here in the west.

Taking my break at an I-80 service plaza somewhere between Toledo and Cleveland.

Got unloaded pretty quick in Dubuque this morning and took off to Clinton IA to pickup my preloaded dogfood, literally, going to Buffalo NY. Live unload at lunch.

As as soon as my 18-hr window opened to use Mac30 I pulled over in a safe spot to go fishing before the planners got me. Do not want to hang in NY or get pushed down the East Coast if possible. One offering..from Geneva NY to Bolingbrook IL outside of Chicago, 20K lbs with a preloaded trailer and a live unload. Grabbed it real quicklike!!! I like the Midwest area.

Has anyone else noticed that you do not need to wait for the 18 hour window? Lately anything within 24 hours of your PTA seems to work.

I filled up in OKC at 2.69 per gallon. Found a Verlaro someplace later and filled up again at 2.99 a gallon! Now I am going back west...sure fuel will cost me $4
