you sir, have my utmost respect lol
to run that route day in and day out takes a hell of a man. as we say down south, you are a sho 'nuff bonafide truck driver.
no way I would want to run a route like that for a day, much less every day. that makes what we do look like easy work and all things being relative it is easy compared to dealing with that every day
appreciate your comments on the pitt area. you'll be the go-to guy if I have any more questions about that area lol
Ashley Furniture? Good company?

Thanks for the kind words, Friend.
Probably not expecting this answer, Bumping doors in PGH is easy with a Single screw Pup ( 28' ) or we have a straight truck. Sometimes lug a 53' but not often. Still isn't difficult with a single screw day cab.
Yins folks with the sleepers, Assist anyway I can.
Doing roll off dumpsters downtown is really difficult. Setting a box off somewhere to do a rotation is PITA. It conditioned me for years to lead up to my current job.
Stay on the routes and if miss a turn, Expect to travel a bit to get turned around safely. It's only freight and not worth PGH DOT involved. On/Off ramps/lanes is super short and not TT friendly.
Have fun flyingmusician. PM me with any questions. -
See I wasn't joking. I took this one this morning. The trailer I'm hooked to has to go in the dock the white one is occupying. This is a double drop & hook customer, so I have to drop my loaded one, hook up to the white one and stuff it in the far corner, come back and hook up to the loaded one, drop it in the dock, then go back and hook to the one I stuffed in the corner to take back with me. Fun stuff...
ONESHOT1997, Shaggy and flyingmusician Thank this. -
###### driver lol yep you'd do well here.
we have some of that double drop stuff too where you have to pull one out or drop one and find somewhere to stick it, then do what you need to to, then hook back to the one you're leaving with. I've had several of them now.
Just another day at the office right? Could have been worse I guess. You could have had to get the pumpkin trailer out lolVoyager1968 Thanks this. -
Yeah really. I suppose that would have to be a triple drop & hook as there is no way that trailer comes out of there with ours there.

Any of you fellers know how early I could go into Tampa Pepsi.. Ld says 5am, but I dont wanna start my day only to drive up there and them be locked up? It'd be nice to have a phone# to get a live person there to ask...
-

Yep on Mondays it is a shot in the dark if they are going to be ready, there is a driver here that try's to start at 6 am, and it is a 50/50 chance--so some times he start's early and I show up at about 11 am and he is just leaving--so I show up a little later in the morning, and I am rolling about 95% of the time, that's on Mondays--there is a phone number there I'll get it and post it, but it is also a 50/50 chance some one will answer.
I would say not to go in until about 0700 any day, unless some one answers the phone.Last edited: Dec 13, 2014
