Parked Here for the Night

Catching a night with the family in Jersey. Will deliver in Manasas Va at 1200 and deadhead back for the family Christmas party tomorrow night, recover Sunday then head to South Carolina on Monday.

 

Got load assignment from CH Robinson late this morning and was loaded here...



Maybe I should have paid the toll and taken that Sam Houston Pkwy... the evening rush hr on US 59 and I-10 was...

But I passed that and now parked at a rest area without restroom in LA.... Going to deliver in NJ on Monday...

 

Sittin at the house...tryin to get next week squared away,,and waitin on very late freight that wont be in till Sunday afternoon....does anyone know if MEIJER's in Middlebury In(I didnt even know they had a dc there-LOL)has truck pkg? I know their Mi&Oh DC' do....Thanx

Future reference Toll for big trucks are $7. Quite a few toll booths depending on how far your traveling. Basically one between each major roadway around the beltway. However usually going to save you a TON of time.

 

I look stoooopid most days--especially when I talk to our younger drivers...--so why not on the net?

 

I went over soldier summit this morning. All I can say is icy. Felt her slip a couple of times but slow and steady won the race.

 

we got a driver came off 4 days of hometime
and was 1;30 late for her pu at noon
when she lives only 1:30 away
