Yes I am heading to Keenesburg. I have a 53 hour bus ride to get there. That should be an expierence in itself.

My tolerence and patiance are both going to be tested over the next at least 6 months or so. Might as well get to getting past it. It's gonna be quite the ride I'm sure.

It'll be a learning experience to say the least. As they say, keep your eye on the prize.

    fieldchaser Thanks this.

Hope the weather is good for ya fieldchaser. I am not a fan of snow, but I bet it's beautiful in the mountains.

Fieldchaser, You will probably get some snow but the thing that really hurts up there is the cold. The training yard is open to the winds and when they blow in the winter they get cold and will take any heat right out of you. All the trainers have full Carhartt suits to help them. If you have them bring them. Just make sure you dress warm in layers so you can remove them as you warm up.
When you are standing around not in a truck watch how the truck and trailer move when others steer one way or the other. Also practice your pretrip. They have a great sheet for doing pretrip, use it and practice, they are real big on that there for the test. Also ask questions if you have them. Oh you may get harassed in fun for asking it but they will answer it and help you understand. All in all relax, have fun and learn. Good Luck and See you in Dallas.

    fieldchaser Thanks this.

I haven't seen snow in 20 years. Going from the Gulf of Mexico to the Rocky Mtns is gonna be a trip.

Thanks for the tips. I really do appreciate them. I'll take all I can get.
Warm clothes including some insulated coveralls is something I have been working on getting. All I need now is some long johns.
Do you work at the terminal in Dallas Drake?
