In NE ohio (if you mean fuel) Im under the impression that the hourly pay is crap (something like $14/16hr range to start, and doesn't go much higher), but a phone call will answer that fer sure.

 

Keep an eye on their pay tho, I guess they're losing drivers to drilling, so they may need to bump it up.

I'm not sure if they (KAG) runs asphalt in that area, but those guys do ok from what I understand. Hourly pay is low, but they get hours and don't sleep in the truck much (and they get a few extra bucks if they do).

And if you don't mind the road, KAG terminal near you in eastern oh runs motor oil , tranny fluid etc. for Shell. Pick your load, percentage pay (30%?), all out and back runs. you can probably park at neville island. Lots of short regional loads, but plenty going west, south and southwest if you prefer.

 

Top rate in Pittsburgh is $18.70/ hr, overtime after 45. You will be driving JUNK equipment.

 

If a company gives me the up/down and round around, especially on the phone, when your not even working for them, I'd get up and go round to another company.
