There's a pretty nice sized pilot off exit 460. (Interstate 75 in Florida.)
I stopped to get rid of some coffee, stayed for the vegetables, cleanliness and how bright and open the place is...
The place is either newly opened, recently remodelled or has a really good crew keeping it up. No matter what it is, I wished I had time to stop for a shower instead of just a meal.
Green beans, mashed potatoes, and (I was daring) meatloaf. All 3 had a great flavor and unlike most truck stop food it wasn't over-salted, some might need to add salt even.
There may be better truck stops than this, but to be honest I haven't found one yet that I'd stay inside for longer than I had to. This one I wished I had been able to park at last night. Besides, if you're feeling froggy, a little ways down the road is a fireworks place and someplace you can get fresh Floridian (I assume) produce.
Ill be here for another 15-20 minutes...![]()

That's new. Brand new, think they bought it out.

Yeah it used to be an independent truck stop that had seen better days. Pilot bought the land, razed the building, and built a new building. It just opened within the last couple weeks.joseph1135 Thanks this.

As for the meatloaf that is the new PF fresh stuff they are putting in some of the FJ and pilots and it is pretty good. Also the mac and cheese.

Wife and I like the mashed potatoes

It was pretty nice having some vegetables that weren't over salted for once... That alone...I shall return.
Made my run to Lakeland hellishly better...
Wow...41 "thanks" and I haven't been active that long. Cool. Back on topic! -
